Alexandra Șipa is a Romanian designer and 2020 Graduate of Central Saint Martins BA Fashion Design Womenswear Course. Hailing from Bucharest, Romania, Alexandra moved to London in 2015 to attend Saint Martin's. Upon graduation, Alexandra Şipa became widely known for her innovative use of discarded electrical wires to create lace like garments, a technique that merges traditional Romanian craftsmanship with modern sustainability.

She is currently based in Bucharest, Romania, focused on exploring the potentials of lace through the lens of eastern european joy, within a conscious production framework. Șipa's work has been featured in magazines VOGUE, L'Officiel, Vanity Fair, 10Magazine, TheSundayTimesStyle, TANK, 9/10, GQ, PussPuss and has been embraced by artists including Charli XCX, Rose Gray, Shygirl, Louise Follain, and Kate Nash, among others.

She is deeply committed to building a fashion practice that is environmentally and socially responsible: she sources local waste materials, prioritises circularity, and envisions a future where her work helps drive ethical production in Romania.

In addition to her work within her eponymous brand, in recent years she has also developed a collaborative side with various brands (e.g., Adidas, Whiskas, Barbie, Maison Margiela) for campaigns promoting their new products or messages, particularly in the direction of socially conscious and sustainable branding. All products are currently entirely manufactured and shipped from her Bucharest, Romania studio.

She currently shows on the Mercedes Benz Bucharest Fashion Week Official schedule bi-annual collections.
